Youth Administrator
Regular office hours:

My faith story: I was blessed to be raised in an amazing Christian home with parents who challenged me in my walk with God. God has continued over the years to mold me (willingly and unwillingly) into the woman of God He wants me to be.
What brought me to UCUMC: I
ran a Oneighty [youth program] in Muncie, IN,
where we averaged 500-900 teens on a Sunday night.
After graduating from college in Muncie, I accepted
a job at Enterprise in Jacksonville, FL. Although
I had always wanted to be a Àbig business woman, God
had other plans for my life. Pastor Joe and Pat
MacLaren asked me to come to University Carillon
to start EPIC. My heart had never stopped aching
for teenagers, so I accepted GodĦs calling on
my life to work in ministry.
What I like most about my ministry here: My
mother always said when I was younger that I
better be boss of something when I get older.
I guess I was a bossy child growing up. I love
the responsibility that I have to the kingdom
of God. I enjoy taking someoneĦs vision and finding
a way to make it reality and get that opportunity
here.
WhatĦs in your iPod: My favorite song is ÀTiny Dancer by Elton John. My favorite band is Rascal Flatts. I enjoy listening to many different varieties of music. Favorite books currently are The Barbarian Way and Blue Like Jazz.
What do I like most to do on my day off: I absolutely love to shop. IĦm a major bargain hunter and never pay full price. It just adds to the excitement. IĦm also a huge Disney fanatic. I use my annual pass at least twice a month.
Three words IĦd use to describe yourself: Nicole Marie Byron
Family info: IĦm the oldest of three girls. My poor father never had a chance with sharing a home with four women. He now loves chick flicks, TLC, and going shopping.
