My faith story: I came to know God as a teenager in a cow pasture (now Universal Studios) at the Jesus '78 music festival. A few years later I experienced the call of God on my life for ministry in the church.
What brought me to UCUMC: The Bishop, D.S., Pastor Joe, and the Spirit of God (not necessarily in that order)
What I like most about my ministry here: Being apart of a great staff and group of lay folks who desire to build the kingdom and grow the church.
What's my greatest challenge: Finding balance & trying to learn everybody's name.
What's in your iPod: I don't have an iPod but on my "smart phone" (not sure why it's called that) I have the song, "I can Only Imagine" and the book "Made to Stick."
What do I like most to do on my day off: Playing an occasional round of golf (searching for golf balls) and doing laundry
Three words I'd use to describe yourself: Caring, Passionate, Strategic
Family info: Married to Enid Akers Perez (23 years); two children - Juliana is a senior at Lake Howell High School and Brandon is a 8th grader at South Seminole Middle School.
