In 2003, Pastor Jaime Faberlle began holding services in Spanish at
University Carillon. Then, for a time, he assisted with existing Hispanic
services at Faith United Methodist Church. But his dream has been to
open a vital ministry to the Hispanic community a stone's throw from
us.
Last year, when the Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Sussex Drive
was vacated, Jaime and his congregation renovated the building and moved
into that facility. Since that time, the congregation has made significant
contacts and impact in the Bonneville area. The church is now officially
supported by the Committee on New Church Development of the Florida Conference
of the United Methodist Church, and Jaime will soon be appointed there
full time.
Service at Iglesia Cristo a las Naciones is a Bilingual Worship Service at 10:00 am.

Meeting Needs: ICN Food Pantry
If there is a poor
man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that
the Lord your God is giving you,
do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.
Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs.—Deuteronomy
15:7 –8.
NEW! First-Weekend Food Pantry Help us keep supplies in the food pantry at Christ to the
Nations Church (led by Pastor Jaime Faberllé). The first weekend
of each month (on Communion days), we’ll accept donations for
the pantry. Watch for a fillable pantry bag next weekend!
Our
mission church, Iglesia Cristo a las Naciones (Christ to the Nations),
is reaching out to the needy in the
community with
a food pantry.
Actually, it is much more than a food pantry.
God’s love is pouring
from the shelves! In the few weeks the pantry has been open,
ten persons were blessed
not only with tangible items, but also with fellowship and love. Their lives
are being changed physically and spiritually.
Some families just need a little
help to get through. Others are homeless and need significant
help. (Believe it or not, just around the corner from
you
may live someone who has not been as blessed as you; someone who may be having
a
trial in life.)
In order to reach out to more families, more hearts, we need
to stock our shelves and keep them stocked. That’s where you
come in!
Check out the following list of some of what is needed
in the pantry—all nonperishable. (Please think POP-TOP for all
canned foods.) For now, all items are needed. In the future,
we’ll
suggest “items of
the month” to
collect.
Most importantly, please keep this outreach and the community in
your prayers. Lives are changing!
