VBS

Vacation Bible School
June 16 or June 23
9am-noon Monday through Thursday
9am to 12:30 on Friday
$12 per child

 

~ All children 4 years old (by Sept. 1, 2008) Through upcoming 4th graders (Aug. 2008) are eligible for VBS
~ All children 5th grade and older can sign up to be Jr. Counselors

Applications will be taken beginning March 15 at the Jerusalem Marketplace/Easter Egg Hunt. If a parent volunteers to work at the Marketplace…they get to sign their children up early for VBS.

We are no longer taking Junior Counselor Applications for VBS.

High Voltage Kids

High Voltage Kids is for all children PreK-6th Grade.  Come and eat dinner any time from 5:30 to 6:15.  4th-6th graders are welcome to bring their dinner to the Shack and  hang out until program time starts.  All younger children can eat in the Sanctuary with their family. 

Saturday Night Children's Worship Service

During Saturday evening worship services PreK–6th grade begin in the sanctuary for Praise and Worship and then are dismissed to the Clubhouse.

Children in grades pre-K–grade 3 dismissed to the Clubhouse (E107); children in grades 4–6 dismissed to The Shack (E203).  Nursery: infants-24 months in M101; 25 months–4 years old in M102.

9:30 and 11:00 am - Classes for Pre-K-Grade 4 and Grades 5 & 6.

Children begin in their classrooms, then are taken to The Clubhouse (E107-108) worship room. Afterwards, they return to their classrooms for age-appropriate small group time.

The Clubhouse Needs You!

The Clubhouse band (the group that plays for the Clubhouse programs and other children's ministry events) is looking for additional teen and adult musicians: drummers, guitar players, pianists, flute players and singers! (Beginning instrumentalists are welcome!) Audition required. Sound technicians and multi-media assistants are also needed. Jump in and get involved! Call Mary at ext. 120.

The Clubhouse

This is a great worship time designed just for kids, that runs during weekend worship services. As the Clubhouse team develops, we're looking for some new team members-young or older! See where you fit:
• Puppets-Team leader to help organize and train puppeteers
• Drama-Team members (actors, set designers, crew members)
• Worship-Leaders for the younger children (in the Playhouse)

Opportunities for Adults

JYF Helpers—If you can be around to help during JYF meetings, please contact Mary at ext. 120.

Saturday and Sunday school class leaders—The commitment for helping in children’s classes is every other weekend; all the legwork is done for you! Please contact Mary at ext. 120 for more information.

Greeting and Check-in—Adults are needed to help check in and greet children on Sunday mornings. To assist with this between-services opportunity, contact Mary at ext. 120.

Sunday School Prep Team—Help get activities and supplies ready for weekend children’s classes. This is the perfect job for anyone who has some free time during the week a couple of times a month. Contact Mary at ext. 120 for more information.
